There is a lot that goes into interpreting and maintaining the Burnham Block historic site like being a docent, docent training, gardening, gift shop skills, cleaning, building maintenance, group tour coordination, fundraising, marketing, social media, service on our Board of Directors, newsletter publishing, restoration management, research, volunteer coordination, website, and more. Everything on the Burnham Block happens because our volunteers give so generously of their time. Frank Lloyd Wright’s Burnham block has been protecting and restoring the buildings since 2004. This is a big responsibility for an organization of all volunteers. We depend heavily on the passion and dedication of volunteers who care deeply about our mission. As we continue to grow, our need for volunteer assistance also grows.
